Ian Ross

Biography

Ian Ross was born in McCreary, Manitoba, in 1968 and currently lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Ian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Film and a minor in Theatre from the University of Manitoba. He has delivered newspapers, pumped gas, sold men's clothes at The Bay and worked in various capacities at different arts organizations, but mostly has been a writer. An award-winning playwright, Ian works mostly in dramatic genres such as theatre, film, television and radio. His thought-provoking and funny "Joe from Winnipeg" commentaries penned for CBC radio and television have been made into books.
