Media Advisory: Opening Ceremony for the 2010 Aboriginal Pavilion (Chiefs’ House) Media Event and Reception

Vancouver, B.C. - The Four Host First Nations are pleased to invite members of the media to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 Aboriginal Pavilion (Chiefs' House) on Monday, February 8, 2010. Aboriginal leaders as well as Vancouver 2010 and government partners will be on hand to unveil the spectacular Chiefs' House - one of the "must-see" venues of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. 
 
The ceremony will provide media the opportunity experience the traditions and protocols of the Four Host First Nations, while previewing some of the cultural offerings at the Chiefs' House. The Four Host First Nations will also pay special tribute to the late Jack Poole, Chairman of the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC).
